Park Day

After the last few weeks of rain, we have finally returned to our Southern California winters...sunny and warm.  We met some friends at the park and enjoyed the warm weather.  It feels like it has been a long time since we spent all morning at the park.  There is little to do in Long Beach that is inside and we were all itching to be outside again.

Ben is a bit of a wild man.  He loves to climb and crawl around on the play structures.
Kate was a bit frustrated with the lack of sharing of the soccer ball that was going on.
Ben could sit there for hours!!
Kate's obsession...sticks.   We have a whole pile at home as there are many tears if we have to leave them at the park.

Share Day

Each Friday is share day in Kate's class.  Her teacher assigns an item each week.  This week she asked the children to bring in something that starts with the first letter of their name.  Kate is taking in a picture she drew of her three aunties that all have "K" names.  I am not sure which auntie is which  but on the left is the house they all apparently live in together because "it is big enough for all of them."  She also placed the K above each auntie so "people will know that they all start with K."

Kate's horse

This is Kate's "horse"  Molasses.  The pillow is the saddle and her bunny basket is the head.  According to Kate, he is a pretty slow horse.

I love my food!

Over the past month or so Ben has become a lover of food and feeding himself.  Here he is having just finished a lunch of pasta and tomato soup.  He loves sauces and the more the better!
